The Century Process
For Immediate Release:
Because buying or building a new home can be stressful, here at Century Communities we follow a simple 7-step process to home ownership. From your first step into the sales office to the first step into your new life in your new beautiful home, Century Communities wants to put you at ease. By following the 7-step guideline illustrated below, we pledge to our future homeowners a satisfying and fulfilling home buying experience.
Unlocking the Door to Homeownership
Step 1: Do Your Research: Consider upgrades, exterior options, room count, appliances, floorplans, and square footage. Find the ideal community for your family’s lifestyle. Whether your prefer a cozy, quiet neighborhood or one bustling with activity, you can have it!
Step 2: Know Your Timeframe: Allow time for touring model homes and researching online. Inventory homes are usually at or near completion, so you can move in quickly. If you choose to build from the ground up, allow for at least six months for completion.
Step 3: Contact Century Communities: Email us today to set up an appointment with an onsite Sales Associate. Visit a community to sit down to discuss your preferences, estimates of final price and which options you would like in your new home. Analyze the cost and value of your top choice of home and community. Make your final decision and begin the buying and building process.
Step 4: Get Mortgage Pre-Approval: Pre-approval for a specific mortgage amount takes the guesswork out of financing. Your Century Sales Associate will help you partner with a preferred lender and provide you information to contact them. Consider home options, upgrades, and total cost to ensure that you can afford your dream home.
Step 5: Finalize the contract: Confirm the amount of the earnest money deposit, typically anywhere from $5,000-$60,000 depending on the location and price of home. The homebuilder will be heavily invested in the project, so this is your time to put some "skin in the game" while your home is built. Feel free to ask questions - this transaction is different from standard real estate contracts. You are buying a home - a handmade product built from the ground up - from the company that invested in the ground and the materials from which your future home is built.
Step 6: Get Involved in the Build: Embrace the homebuilding experience to create a home that is uniquely yours. You have a say in every step of the process, so have fun! Century Communities strives to deliver a home with lasting quality, character, livability, and value.
Step 7: Close the Deal: Complete the mortgage process with your lender. Obtain the title - and your new keys! Move in and start loving life in a new house you are proud to call home.
