Chesmar Homes Unveils Daydreams in Towne Lake
For Immediate Release:
(Cypress, TX) May 1, 2015—The Park at The Greene at Towne Lake was the site of a very special art installation and unveiling event last month. A highly recognized master-planned community, Towne Lake is conveniently located between I-10 and Hwy 290 in Cypress. Chesmar Homes is the exclusive builder in The Greene and offers three different plan series in the community.
On a beautiful rain-washed Saturday in April, children and their families gathered in the centrally located park for the unveiling. The festivities began with 5th grade students from the Rennell’s Redhawk choir performing several songs a Capella. A charming clown, appropriately named Whimsy, entertained children with balloon creations, and an old fashioned ice-cream truck served up free treats to the over 100 in attendance.
Chesmar Homes’ Front-Porch Collection of neo-traditional style homes served as the perfect back drop for the day of family fun. The Greene Park is a focal point for the neighborhood, a central gathering place for families and neighbors with plenty of green space for play and activity. The distinct rear-entry homes bounding the park provide views unencumbered by sidewalks and driveways.
Don Klein, CEO of Chesmar Homes commissioned the sculptures for the park. Working with artists from Austin based Newcomb Co., two uniquely designed original art pieces were developed. Mr. Klein explained his daydream theme of the sculptures to those who gathered. After performing, the children’s choir was prompted by Klein to pull back the canvas from the sculptures revealing the works named “Lawn fishing” and “Paper dolls.”
2015 marks Chesmar Homes’ tenth anniversary building in the Houston area. The growing company now includes home building operations in Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Charlotte NC. For more information about Chesmar Homes and Towne Lake visit www.chesmar.com.
