Houston Christian High School (HCHS) provides rigorous academic programs designed to prepare every student for collegiate study and opportunities beyond the classroom. The faculty and staff engage students in service and leadership opportunities through student governance, athletics and fine arts. Founded in 1997 with a vision to establish an interdenominational college-preparatory high school, HCHS is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest and recently joined the Southwest Preparatory Conference for athletics.
Supported by caring teachers, mentors and role models, HCHS features a combination of distinctive programs, spiritual-life focus and award-winning arts and athletics. In addition, leadership development is a distinct and intentional component of every student’s training at HCHS. HCHS values, cultivates and celebrates diversity and is committed to strengthening the following in students:
Vision of honor
Community
Heritage
Scholarship through classroom experiences, curricular programs and leadership initiatives
The majority of HCHS’s 500 students come from private schools throughout the Houston, Spring Branch, Cypress-Fairbanks and Katy communities. Graduates of HCHS attend an ever-expanding list of top colleges and universities in Texas and throughout the United States.
Situated on a beautifully appointed 45-acre, state-of-the-art collegiate-style campus, HCHS is located conveniently at the intersection of West Sam Houston Parkway North and Kempwood Drive.
Demonstrating a continuing commitment to enhancing educational excellence, HCHS recently completed a 35,000-square-foot student center, which features facilities for dining, classrooms and a 21st-century learning commons. The new facility has created areas for collaborative learning, integrated technology, research and library services and meeting spaces designed for comfortable student interaction.
