Sedona Lakes Amenity Center

The more daring will love careening down the center’s waterslide, and everyone can enjoy cooling off in the pool, which offers zero-entry access. Comfortable shade areas and a soothing waterfall also make the center perfect for relaxing with friends and family.
The recreation center includes an open-air pavilion adjacent to the pool, with restroom facilities, a kitchen area and a grand fireplace, ideal for resident events any time of the year.
The pavilion also is a shady spot for parents to keep a watchful eye over their children at the adjacent playground. Age-appropriate play structures cater to children under age 5 as well as older youth, and an event lawn offers space for a spirited game of tag or kickball.
Hiking and Biking
Walking PathsMiles of walking paths and trails meander throughout Sedona Lakes, offering residents a chance for after-dinner strolls, morning jogs and peaceful bike rides. A picturesque 1.5-mile lake trail invites residents outdoors, where they can feed the ducks and watch wildlife while ambling along the lakeside path.
Could Have Lived Anywhere …
When Doug, Elizabeth and Alexis Wade started looking for a new home, they could have lived virtually anywhere in the Houston area because Doug is a business owner who works from home.
The couple looked at The Galleria area, Kingwood, the Heights, and The Woodlands before choosing Sedona Lakes. “We felt this community had a hill country, Austin feel to it,” said Doug.
The couple thought all the builders in Sedona Lakes were high-quality and they fell in love with a Highland Home floorplan. “The Highland team was very accommodating throughout the process, so we feel like we got a custom home without the custom price,” said Elizabeth.
Elizabeth, an HR administrator, enjoys shopping and says Pearland has everything she needs. Doug enjoys visiting music venues and likes that Sedona Lakes is an easy drive into Houston’s art district.
Moved In Just in Time
Born and raised in Houston, Brian and Leah Drummer say their new Highland Home in Sedona Lakes was finished “just in time.” The couple moved into their home on June 15th and brought home twins Brian Jr. and Brycen on June 23. “We really wanted to bring the babies home to our new home,” said Leah.
The couple chose Sedona Lakes because they like the peaceful environment and the quality of the neighborhood and the builders.
“Entertaining is very important to us and the open floor plan of our new home is just perfect,” said Leah. The couple loves watching HGTV and spends a lot of time visiting model homes and homes for sale in the area.
“We knew exactly what we wanted in a new home and new home community,” according to Leah, who said they felt it was really unique that they had so much access to their builder during the building process.
The couple’s daughter, Ryann, attends E.C. Mason Elementary. Ryann plays soccer and spends lots of time at the community pool.
Room for Twins
Jamie and David Headley have called Houston home for eight years. The couple lived in a loft in midtown Houston until finding out they were expecting twin girls, Elise and Hayden.
“We knew we needed more space and a family-friendly environment,” said David. The couple rented a home in Silverlake prior to purchasing their Darling Home in Sedona Lakes. “We wanted to make sure we liked the Pearland area before buying,” said David. They looked at many homes in Silverlake and Silvercreek, but chose Sedona Lakes because they liked the smaller size of the community. “We really like our neighbors and have a sense of peace-of-mind living here.”
Sedona Lakes also offers David an easy commute to his job in Pearland, only about a mile and half from home.
Jamie says the community pool is one of their favorite features of the community. The couple also enjoys dining out and says Pearland offers them great variety, but they especially recommend Killens Steakhouse in Pearland.
“We couldn’t be happier with our Darling Home,” said Jamie. “The value for the price we paid was excellent and the Darling staff was just tremendous. We really like the open layout of our home – it feels really open like the loft we used to live in."
Don, Tuyen and Danica Nguyen found their perfect home in Sedona Lakes.
The family chose Coventry Homes in Sedona Lakes. “We liked the design and detail, it felt very custom,” said Tuyen. The couple loves to entertain and both have large families. Tuyen says they can have over 60 people in their open design home and it doesn’t feel crowded.
Their home also accommodates their grand piano which Don, who is the music minister at St. James Catholic Church in Spring, loves playing. Tuyen loves cooking and says her new kitchen is a dream. Danica favorite feature is the community pool, especially the beach area.
The location was perfect for the family for several reasons. Tuyen is an optometrist with a business in Alvin, so she enjoys a very short commute to work each day. The couple also has lots of family in the area. Going to the beach is also a favorite family activity and their new home makes that a quick trip.
Tired of city living
Born and raised in the Houston area, Tejuana Edmond recently made Sedona Lakes her home. She is single, works for a major oil company, and has lived in New York City and eastern Europe.
Tired of city living, Tejuana was looking for a place to escape her hectic work life and create her own private oasis. She found just what she was looking for in Sedona Lakes.
“I admired that Sedona Lakes was a smaller community with a warm family feel. A huge deciding factor for me to build in the community was the diverse group of people that created the make-up of the neighborhood.”
An avid cyclist, Tejuana says the bike lanes on the roads surrounding Sedona Lakes are perfect for her morning bike trips, and she loves that she has fellow cyclists on those roads with her.
Really Believes in Her Product
Highland Home Sales Counselor Kimberly Hebert has a unique perspective when she meets with prospective homeowners in Sedona Lakes. Kimberly and Sam Rodgers live in Sedona Lakes where Kimberly sells.
The couple lives in their Highland Home with their “children”, dogs Packer and Rocky. Sam was previously a Highland homeowner before this move and Sedona Lakes’ proximity to downtown works well for him and his daily commute to his job with Exxon.
“We really liked the design and layout of the community,” says Kimberly. The large lot sizes accommodate their dogs well and they enjoy the quiet, peaceful environment. The couple enjoys traveling, cooking together in their beautiful kitchen, and taking the dogs for walks around the beautiful community lakes in Sedona Lakes.
Move to be Closer to Family
Susie and Rob Hunt lived in Dallas for 17 years and relocated to the Houston area last year to be closer to their children. With one in the Medical Center area and another in Friendswood, Sedona Lakes was centrally located to both children.
“Our Realtor showed us an open, one-story Coventry Homes floor plan that we really loved,” said Susie. The couple plans to stay in this home for many years and didn’t want to be going up and down stairs. Since Coventry Homes doesn’t have a one-story model home in Sedona Lakes, the Hunts let the builder use their home as a showcase home for buyers interested in one-story designs.
Susie loves to shop and says the nearby Pearland area shopping centers have everything she needs. Rob enjoys fishing and golfing and he also has lots of options close to home for those activities. Sedona Lakes was also convenient to the couple’s vacation home in Port O’Connor.
Sedona Lakes a Family Favorite
With five children and two busy working parents, the Jackson family needed a home that was in the right location and fit the way this large, busy family lived. They found that with J. Patrick Homes in Sedona Lakes.
Kevin is originally from Baton Rouge Louisiana, but moved to Houston to be closer to his mother. Kevin owns a job placement agency that provides employment services for people with disabilities. He was inspired to do this by his mother, who is disabled. Sneice, who was born and raised in Houston, is an acclaimed cosmetologist and instructor. She’s also the owner/founder of her own company: Definitions of U.
The family wanted to live on the south side of Houston because family, friends and, most importantly, their church are in this area. Kevin was driving down Highway 288 and saw a sign for Sedona Lakes, so they decided to check it out. They chose Sedona Lakes because of long list of amenities for the family to enjoy, wide open space, proximity to sports arenas, live entertainment and the Texas Medical Center. “I also like that I can see the stars at night,” said Kevin.
All the kids are active in school. Jacori is senior at Manvel High School and will be pursuing an acting career as well as communication degree. Jaylin is a junior and plays the bass clarinet in the school band. Kelsea is a freshmen and runs track. Dealin is in sixth grade and enjoys reading, acting, and science. And “Lil Kevin” as his mom calls him, is a very active, busy, and creative 2 year old.
The Jackson family chose J. Patrick Homes because they fell in love with their floorplan and wanted to make a change, which the builder accommodated for them.
